The schoolhouse of the former double community of Lichtenberg and Obernhausen, completed in 1904, contains the school hall and an ancillary room temporarily used as the mayor's office on the ground floor, the teacher's apartment on the first floor and the Lichtenberg community archive on the top floor. The building was designed from the beginning as a so-called "one-class primary school", i. H. that the children from school years 1 to 8 were taught together in one room. It was only since the 1930s that the combination with Niedernhausen made it possible for a time to be two-class. The old school house now houses the archive and registry office of the Fischbachtal community on the upper floors, and a “house of clubs” on the ground floor. The building is classified as a cultural monument. 1904
