The following list contains the cultural monuments identified in the monument topography in the area of the city of Groß-Umstadt , Darmstadt-Dieburg district , Hesse .
- Note: The order of the monuments in this list is based first on the city district and then on the address; alternatively, it can also be sorted by name or construction time.
The basis is the publication of the Hessian list of monuments, which was created for the first time on the basis of the Monument Protection Act of September 5, 1986 and has been continuously updated since then.

Complete old town | Old town | The old town as a whole encompasses the medieval part of the city within the boundaries of the city fortifications, which were largely abandoned in the 19th century. The medieval settlement emerged in the 12th century over the remains of a Roman settlement. Six of the seven noble courts are still preserved. They reflect the changing power relations and divisions of the city between the Kurpfalz , Hanau and Hesse . In the northeast, the Darmstadt Castle , in the southwest, the Palatinate Castle marks the border of the historic city center. Wambolt Castle is located at the western exit of the old town . The closed courtyard of the Knöllenmühle was built in the 19th century and consists of a main house, half-timbered gate building, barn and stable buildings. The main house has a massive ground floor and a half-timbered upper floor with a half-hip roof. The building can be dated to 1853 with inscriptions. The stable buildings can be dated to 1832. A mill is documented on the site as early as 1398. | ||

The Gothic choir was created in the 15th century. After the Reformation and the elevation to the parish church, the south aisle was added. Doors and windows were changed in the 18th century. In 1833 the tower was raised and changed. During the extensive redesign in 1861, the north aisle was added. The historical furnishings include two sacrament niches, a three seat in the choir, a pulpit, the organ with rococo casing and four grave slabs. | ||
