Mackensen barracks (aggregate) | Rintheimer Querallee 2 (Flst. 22808/3) | 1936-1938 | The Mackensen barracks is a barracks of the Wehrmacht, built 1936–1938. From 1946 to 1963 it was an American barracks ("Phillips Barracks"), since 1964 it has been a Bundeswehr barracks, today also used by the University of Karlsruhe.
Associated buildings: Staff building (No. 2), four crew buildings (No. 1, 3, 4, 16), officers' mess (No. 13), American chapel (No. 20), memorial for the soldiers of the German Armed Forces, some massive fencing at the Rintheimer Querallee.
