Location of Stiebitz in Bautzen

The list of cultural monuments in Stiebitz contains the cultural monuments of the Bautzen district of Stiebitz , which were recorded by the State Office for Monument Preservation of Saxony until March 2018 (excluding archaeological cultural monuments). The notes are to be observed.

1890 Individual monument belonging to the Rattwitz manor; of importance in terms of building history and local history. Symmetrical structure; on the first floor balcony with balustrade on pillars; Window with keystone and crowning; Central emphasis by gable with medallion (initials RFA); Extended entrance area, large, round-arched colored glass window on the side; light stucco in the vestibule; lateral triple window with arched crown with initials (I), left oak leaves, right mistletoe.

The manor house standing on a hill with a mansard hipped roof, around 1890. Simple segment arch portal; the sandstone walls of the windows with ear framing and keystone, various roofs. The garden facade with a three-axis central projection and arbor. Barns and stables as well as a park have been preserved from the spacious complex.

2nd half of the 19th century Material aggregate of the former manor Rattwitz with the manor house (single monument, see Obj. 09251395), the park with pond (garden monument) and the farm yard with all buildings (former barns, stables and servants' houses) as well as remnants of the enclosure (material aggregate parts) and garage construction with integrated arbor and another garage in the courtyard [disruptive elements]; Architectural and local historical significance. The manor house, built in 1890, is located north of the manor on a hill and therefore has an excellent view of the entire property. A small landscaped garden stretches to the south and west of the manor house, below the manor house is a pond with valuable old trees fed by the Jordanbach. Of particular note is a huge sequoia tree near the pond. Below (to the south) of the manor house there is a park and pond and old trees and trees as a garden monument. Also to the south of the manor house is the former farm yard with former stables and barn buildings and remains of the fencing, some of the farm buildings are now heavily modified and converted for residential purposes.

  • Pheasantry: small elongated plastered building in distinctive neo-baroque forms, in which old cages have been preserved
  • Manor house: two-story plastered building with a mansard roof, entrance in an open vestibule in the side elevation; Original size window, marked 1853; central projection on the street side; Mansion demolished in the first quarter of 2013
  • Older outbuilding (mid-19th century) partly made of stone, large barn door, gable roof with old lightning rod; newer side building (around 1910): massive, two-story, with extension; the two buildings were demolished after 1997 (No. 11 and 12).

Remarks

        • Access: from the south access from Hofweg via the former farmyard
        • Path system: west of the manor house circular path with a formerly water-bound ceiling recognizable
    • Water elements: pond fed by the Jordanbach south of the manor house
    • Vegetation:
      • Groups of trees and individual trees: old trees on the edge of the pond, especially linden (Tilia spec.), Blood beech (Fagus sylvatica f. Purpurea) in the center of the western garden and fruit trees, mighty giant sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) at the branch to the northwest turning Hofweg to the manor house
      • Hedges and bushes: previously cut hedge made of hornbeam (Carpinus betulus) south of the manor house
    • Other protected assets:
      • Ground relief: terrain sloping towards the south, mansion is above the manor, retaining wall made of quarry stone below the mansion (in combination with the above-mentioned hornbeam hedge)
