Gottesacker (entity) Am Schneiderberg
(map)
From 1756 Material entirety of the church of the Brethren with grave slabs embedded in the ground as well as cemetery design (garden monument); of importance in terms of local, cultural and religious history. In 1756 the first burial took place in the church. The church in Herrnhut (1730) is the design model. The regularly laid out cemetery with the uniformly designed graves conveys an image of equality and togetherness and, as a liturgical space, reflects the simple and deeply religious way of life of the Brethren. He differentiates between a brother and a sister side. The graves have flat sandstone gravestones with simple inscriptions, which symbolize transience. The churchyard is fenced in with beech hedges. The regularly laid out paths are planted with avenues and rows of winter linden trees. The terrain sloping to the west and south is terraced. Of religious and regional historical value. Preserved largely unchanged. 09253059

Water tower Am Wasserturm 2
(map)
Marked 1931 Water tower with a rectangular floor plan and a rare rectangular flat-bottom container made of reinforced concrete. Container volume about 180 m³. Built in 1931 according to a walled-in granite stone next to the entrance door. Decommissioned in the 1980s. Since then it has served as a hose drying tower and warehouse for the fire brigade. 2005 Installation of a mobile radio transmission mast.

Internal division of the tower into four floors, accessed by wooden stairs. Above is the water tank with a central access shaft to the top floor. The walls consist of 60 cm thick masonry, which is reduced from the second floor to 50 cm thick with reinforced corners. Noteworthy is the lack of load-bearing reinforced concrete columns within the walls. All ceilings made of reinforced concrete with one beam each. The bottom of the container is supported by two cross beams. Container not accessible due to decomposing inner wood cladding.

Due to the simple but successful architectural design of the tower, in addition to its technical and historical significance, the tower also has a character that shapes the townscape. The ground floor is highlighted by a clinker brick facade. Storey cornices made of clinker structure the plastered facade beginning above. The position of the container is emphasized by two additional dividing cornices. The two-tier recessed attic gives the tower a pagoda-like effect in conjunction with the cornices.

Weather vane marked 1758 Individual monument of the collective colony Kleinwelka; Prayer room of the Brethren, simple plastered building with arched windows, high crooked hip roof with bat dormers and roof turrets, of architectural, local and religious significance.

In 1751 the Herrnhut Brothers Colony Kleinwelka was founded. The prayer room, built in 1758, and the adjacent public garden formed the center of the colony. Originally, the garden was cultivated as a kitchen garden by the local Indian (pastor) and the head (mayor). At the end of the 19th century this was given up in favor of a public facility. The regular path system with the accompanying rows of trees relates to the east-west axis of the prayer room. In the middle there is a square-like extension with a round tree. At the western end of the Mittelweg, a pair of pillars and oaks marks the entrance. In the colonies of the Moravian Brethren, the prayer room with an adjacent square always formed the center of the colony. A special feature here is the location of the prayer room, which is not on the edge of the square, but on the square.
