The benches were intended to serve as rest stops for the farmers who carried their goods to the markets in the surrounding towns on market days. They are made of sandstone and usually have a roof to provide shade.

George's Chapel with granary | The Georgskapelle was built in the first third of the 14th century in the Gothic style. A one-story granary adjoins the small church. In the 14th century the chapel served as a burial place for the Lichtenberg rule . After the French Revolution, the building also served as a prison. The construction of the roof with hanging truss is one of the few examples of this type of construction in Alsace. There is an apartment on the upper floor of the chapel. House of the church conductor | The date of construction of the building is unknown. Essential parts date from the last quarter of the 16th century when it belonged to the mayor Roehrich. Later it was the residence of the church conductor , then the seat of the presbytery. In the 20th century there was a bakery on the ground floor. The shop windows also date from this period. The three-storey house was built with a ground floor made of stone and the floors above in half-timbered construction. The two-storey polygonal corner bay above a short column is striking. A two-storey gate passage leads into an inner courtyard.

Former synagogue | The synagogue replaced an older synagogue on Rue des Juifs in 1842. In 1896 the interior was changed in order to offer more space for the meanwhile strongly increased number of parishioners. During the time of the German occupation, the interior was destroyed and used as a cardboard box factory. After the Second World War, the survivors of the Bouxwiller Jewish community set up a small prayer room in the building. The city acquired the building in 1986 and converted it into the Musée judéo-alsacien between 1998 and 2000. The classicist building was erected on a rectangular floor plan. The long sides have five window axes with round arches. You enter the former church via a classical portal with a triangular gable.
