List of natural monuments in Friedberg (Hessen)

The list of natural monuments in Friedberg called on the territory of the town of Friedberg , in Wetteraukreis ( Hesse ), located natural monuments . They are protected according to the Hessian law on nature conservation and landscape management ( Hessian nature conservation law - HAGBNatSchG) § 12 and registered with the lower nature conservation authority of the Wetterau district. The list corresponds to the status of December 31, 2019. The "Speierling at the Schützenhaus" in Ockstadt is, according to the support group Speierling, the largest Speierling in Germany ("Ockstädter Riese"). The "Fern in writing on the castle wall" in Ockstadt is the only fern in the district that has been designated as a natural monument.

The service tree in Friedberg (No. 440.203) has died, the service tree in Ockstadt (No. 440.207) was uprooted by a storm, and the plane tree in Bruchenbrücken (No. 440.187) had to be felled. These natural monuments have been deleted from the list. The dominant linden tree "An der Hollarkapelle" in Ockstadt (No. 440.026) lost two large branches on July 5, 2015 in a squall. Heavy mistletoe and fungus infestation prevented further care and the tree was felled. It was removed from the list of natural monuments in the Wetterau district by VO.
