The place is east of Friedberg on the Wetter .

history

Ossenheim is first mentioned in a document in 807. The place name is derived either from "Heim des Osso" or from the many oxen in the village (Ohso). In 1608 today's church was consecrated. Lignite was mined in Ossenheim in the 19th century. A school was built in 1826 and the rectory in 1904. The multi-purpose hall was inaugurated in 1977.

On December 31, 1971, Ossenheim was incorporated into the district town of Friedberg.
