The local railway Vienna – Baden is next to the Vienna underground and S-Bahn one of the main means of transport in Vienna's public transport as well as in regional traffic in the southern Vienna area. It is operated by Wiener Lokalbahnen Ges.mbH , a subsidiary of Wiener Stadtwerke . It is a member of the Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region . There are 38 stations along its route, 20 of which are in the city of Vienna, 15 of which are shared with Wiener Linien ; the stations '' Schönbrunner Allee '' and '' Vösendorf-Siebenhirten '' are in Vösendorf , but nevertheless within the core zone Vienna of the VOR.

Route of the local railway
The trains run between Wien-Oper and Schedifkaplatz on tram tracks, between Schedifkaplatz and Baden Landesklinikum on railway lines, and on the end section to Baden Josefsplatz on tram tracks. Between Laurenzgasse and Eichenstrasse in the tunnel of the Vienna Unterpflasterstrassenbahn .
