Stumbling block for Dr.  Bernhard Wensch, Dr.-Bernhard-Wensch-Weg, Talstraße 14, Kamenz.JPG Bernhard Wensch was ordained priest in St. Petri Cathedral in Bautzen in 1934 and was initially chaplain in Kamenz until he was appointed diocesan youth pastor in 1937. He was arrested in 1941 and was taken to the pastors' block of the Dachau concentration camp in November of that year , where he shared his bread rations with fellow inmates, although he himself was already weakened and died as a result on August 15, 1942.
