List of stumbling blocks in Chub

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of stumbling blocks in Döbeln contains all the stumbling blocks that were laid by Gunter Demnig in Döbeln in the Central Saxony district as part of the art project of the same name .

background

These memorial stones are intended to commemorate the victims of National Socialism who lived and worked in Döbeln. The first five stumbling blocks were put in place on May 25, 2007 at the initiative of Lessing-Gymnasium. Further relocations took place in 2013 and 2015. In November 2015 stumbling blocks were stolen or damaged and had to be replaced. A total of 16 stumbling blocks have been laid at 9 addresses so far.

The research and coordination is largely in the hands of voluntary members of the history group of the Treibhaus eV Döbeln as part of a funded project work. Every year, vigils and stumbling blocks are organized and information material is published. Since 2015 the Treibhaus eV has also been involved in laying stumbling blocks in the entire Altlandkreis Döbeln , i. H. also in Hartha , Leisnig , Roßwein and Waldheim .
