Arnfels 131, including
location
KG: Arnfels
A castle was mentioned in documents as early as 1200 on the site of the castle, which is dominating the town on a narrow mountain tongue. This was destroyed by flames in 1424 and then rebuilt, restored in 1976.

Only the northern part of the castle remains, which was structurally changed in 1916 by a new building. The north-facing narrow front dates from 1693 and was once flanked by two semicircular towers, of which the western one is no longer preserved. Instead, the residential wing of the castle is located in a renewed tower on the northwest corner. Only remnants of the courtyard arcades have survived; the entire south wing has been replaced by a garden. There used to be an Anna chapel in the south wing.
