The parish church in the center is an early Gothic building with a possibly still Romanesque north tower in the core. A retracted choir with a five-eighth end connects to the two-bay nave with cross ribbed vaults. The high altar was put together from old parts in 1948; the side altars were made in 1669. The interior also contains a number of carvings from the 17th and 18th centuries.

The cemetery east of the parish church has existed since 1623. The chapel is a rectangular building with a pointed arch portal and a steep pitched roof.

The castle was built by the Sieghartinger Counts, who had owned the area in the Gastein Valley since the 11th century. The oldest written mention of it comes from the year 1122. In 1589 the castle was already considered abandoned and dilapidated. The ruin was bought by the Austrian Federal Forests in 1972 , the tower was renovated and extensions were built. A museum has been set up in the castle, in which the history of the castle is presented.
