The rectory was mentioned in a document in 1398, it has Gothic door walls and stitch cap vaults on the ground floor. In 1893 the upper floor was built. In the rectory is the Ruperti Cross from 750, Austria's oldest sacred work of art, a copy of which is in the parish church. Gothic picture panels - discharge panel z. St. Maximilian (diptych from 1450).

In the hallway known as the plague cemetery there is a Bronze Age and Iron Age necropolis . After an initial exploration by Karl Zschocke in 1931, the grave field was systematically researched by Andreas Lippert in several campaigns from 1983 to 1996 .

711 Founding of the monastery by St. Rupert . 1139 converted to Augustinian Canons by Archbishop Eberhard I. 1161 with goods of the episcopal ministers Berthold and Rüdiger v. Pongau u. Courtyard equipped. From 1216 residence of the Chiemsee bishops under Archbishop Eberhard II . After 1300 "Probsthof" summer residence of the Chiemsee bishops. In addition economic and administrative courtyard. 1671 Grant of the Hofmarkrecht, exercise of jurisdiction by the trustee. In 1775 the Kastenhof was largely destroyed by flooding. The box tower was preserved. After the reconstruction in the east wing from 1803 to 1908 a school building. until 1961 fire station. From 1926 town hall - seat of the municipal administration. In the west and north tracts a horse stable with haylofts, craftsmen, apartments, doctors and shops were housed. Since 1991 the meeting and wedding hall of the market town of Bischofshofen has been in the northeast wing.

A Brandstätt chapel was built from 1743 to 1746 and demolished in 1928. In 1929 a simple new church was built based on a design by the architect Paul Geppert the Elder . The organ was transferred here from the former Stuppach Castle near Gloggnitz.

The Buchberg Church has a single-nave rectangular nave with a Romanesque core with a flat ceiling and a retracted, higher Gothic choir with a polygonal end and ribbed vault in the east. Outside there are frescoes on the south wall of the nave. The tower stands by the choir in the north and the sacristy in the south.

The cemetery stands east of the St. Rupert Mission House in a forest clearing and is surrounded by a wall and was laid out after 1910. The neo-Gothic rectangular chapel with a round end under a gable roof has a brick gable with cornice and side wall and support pillars and a roof turret.
