Karl Reisenbichler (born March 2, 1885 in Attersee , Upper Austria ; † December 21, 1962 in Großgmain near Salzburg ) was an Austrian painter and etcher.

Reisenbichler was a student of Griepenkerl , Unger and Delug at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts .

He painted sgraffitos on house facades in Bad Aussee , Mondsee , Steyr and Salzburg - for example at House Linzer Gasse No. 1, at Rathausplatz 2, at Waagplatz or at House Dreifaltigkeitsgasse No. 2. He also designed the war memorial at the Georgikirche Bischofshofen and frescoes in the parish church Ebensee .

The oil painting Protestant emigration as well as several war paintings are part of his work. To finance the renovation of the so-called Bruckner organ in St. Florian Monastery , he designed a letter of donation in 1929 .

Honors

A street in Salzburg-Aigen is named after him.
