During construction work by EVN in the summer of 1994, building remains were found that are interpreted as a manor ( villa rustica ) from Roman times . The complex was probably looted and destroyed at the time of the Great Migration .

The single-storey building with a crooked roof and a bay window was first mentioned in a document in 1190, and extensions and alterations were made in 1716. The building served as a pilgrimage hostel.
