List of Canadian champions in chess
The list of Canadian champions in chess contains the winners of all Canadian individual championships.
General
The Canadian championship was held for the first time after the founding of the Canadian Chess Federation (English The Chess Federation of Canada , French La Fédération Canadienne des Échecs ) in 1872, but is now only held irregularly. Record champions are Maurice Fox and Daniel Abraham Yanofsky with eight titles each. The Canadian Women's Championship was first played in 1975. The record champion is Nava Starr with eight titles.
