The list of Kurdish place names and geographical names in Iran offers a selection of names of localities and geographical names in Iran that are common among Kurds, both inside and outside of their main settlement area . In Iran, the Kurds speak mainly Sorani and Kurmanji . There were no efforts to nationalize Kurdish place names or to Iranize them in Iran.
