List of ordinal scales

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In practice, many variables are not measured on the basis of a cardinal scale ( interval and ratio scale ), but rather on the basis of an ordinal scale (there is also the nominal scale ). The reasons for this can be of various kinds, e.g. B. the variable cannot be measured directly (attitudes), human perception is not linear (volume), a quick assessment is necessary (injuries), etc.
