List of preserved public German colonial buildings in Samoa
The list of preserved public German colonial buildings in German Samoa deals with preserved public buildings and other preserved public buildings in the former German colony of German Samoa . Samoa was a German colony from 1900 to 1914. Like all colonies in Germany, with the exception of German South West Africa , it was not a settlement colony . At the wedding in 1911, 329 Germans lived in the country.
Most of the buildings go back to Albert Schaaffhausen (1876–1960) who worked as an official German architect in Samoa from 1903 and later worked there as an architect for the New Zealand administration.
