The 2017/18 season was the 27th season of the Lithuanian Ice Hockey League , the highest Lithuanian ice hockey league . The Lithuanian championship won for the 21st time in the club's history and for the third time in a row SC Energija .
mode
A total of seven teams initially took part in the Nacionaline ledo ritulio lyga. However, Juodupės Juodupė stopped playing in December 2017, leaving only six teams. In the main round, each of the teams completed 20 games. Then the champions were determined in the playoffs. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time. In the playoffs, the quarter-finals and the semi-finals were played in the best-of-three mode and the final in the best-of-five mode.

SC Energija suffered their only defeat of the season on September 22, 2017 4-5 at Kaunas Hockey. Juodupės Juodupė withdrew from gaming in December 2017. All results of the club have been canceled.
