There is also a connection to the west via Bildøyna to the island of Sotra via bridges.
history
In Knarrevik there are remains of military installations from the Second World War . With the completion of the Sotra Bridge in 1971, which replaced the Brattholmen – Alvøen ferry , the negative population development that existed due to the island's poor traffic location was halted. Since then, Litlesotra can be reached in a short time from Bergen. In addition to residential areas, larger commercial settlements also emerged. Litlesotra belonged to the municipality of Fjell until it became today's municipality of Øygarden in the course of a municipality merger on January 1, 2020.
economy
In addition to the local government, the most important employer is the Sartor Storsenter shopping center , one of the largest in Norway with around 170 shops.
