The Little Susitna River is a 180 km long river in southern Alaska .

It has a catchment area of 160 km² and an average discharge of 5.8 m³ / s (averaged over the years 1948 to 1996).

It rises east of the Hatcher Pass from the Mint Glacier in the Talkeetna Mountains , flows southwest and flows west of Anchorage into the Cook Inlet .

The George Parks Highway crosses the Little Susitna River at mile 69.5 and follows the river for about two kilometers. Parishes and census-designated places on the river include Fishhook , Meadow Lakes , Houston , Big Lake, and Point MacKenzie .
