Big Lake is a census-designated place (CDP) in Matanuska-Susitna Borough in Alaska in the United States . The area is located on the shores of Lake Big Lake in Matanuska - Susitna -Tal north of Anchorage between George Parks Highway and the Knik Arm of Cook Inlet .
Demographics
At the time of the census in 2000 , Big Lake CDP had 2,635 inhabitants on a land area of 341.7 km², which corresponds to about 8 inhabitants per square kilometer. The mean age was 37.8 years (US national mean: 35.3 years). The per capita income (engl.
