Liu Giulan (born February 12, 1971 ) is a former Chinese biathlete .

Liu Giulan lives in Dalian . She started biathlon in 1989. The first international championship was the 1989 World Championship in Feistritz , where it was 38th in the sprint and 41st in the individual. In 1990 she was used individually in Minsk , where she was 45th. At the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville , Liu was one of the women who were used in the first ever women's races at the Olympic Games. In the very first race, the sprint, the Chinese was the only one of the 69 participants who did not finish. She finished 49th in singles with Wang Jinping and Song AiqinTwelfth in the relay race. The 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer marked the end of a career . Here Liu was used on the side of Song Aiqin, Wang Jinping and Wang Jinfen as the starting runner in the relay race, with whom she was 14th. Liu achieved her best result in the World Cup as 45th of an individual in 1994 in Ruhpolding .
