Liu Longtan ( Chinese  刘 龙潭 , Pinyin Liú Lóngtán ; born February 14, 1988 ) is a Chinese ice hockey player who was under contract with China Dragon in the Asia League Ice Hockey until 2016 .

Career

Liu Longtan began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth division of the Qiqihar ice hockey team, which won the Chinese championship in 2006. In 2010 he moved to China Dragon , the only Chinese professional team, for whom he made his debut in the international Asia League Ice Hockey in the 2010/11 season and where he was on the ice until 2016.

International

For China , Liu Longtan took part in the junior division in 2003 at the U18 World Cup in Division III. In 2005 , 2006 and 2008 he played with the Chinese U20 team in Division II, while he had to compete with the team after relegation in 2006 at the U20 World Cup in 2007 in Division III.

In the senior division, the defender was in China's squad at the World Championships in Division II in 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 and 2015 . He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .
