Livius Maderspach
Livius Maderspach (born January 1, 1840 in Ruskberg / Ruszkabánya , Austrian Empire , † September 19, 1921 in Rákospalota, today Budapest , Kingdom of Hungary ) was a Hungarian-German mining engineer .
Life
Livius Maderspach, son of Károly Maderspach (1791–1849) and Franziska geb. Buchwald (1804–1880), studied at the Polytechnic in Graz and Karlsruhe , as well as at the Bergakademie Schemnitz . In Karlsruhe he became a member of the Teutonia fraternity . He then took on a variety of activities in the mining sector, such as B. the preparation of reports on coal and ore deposits for private mining companies. Later he was the royal Hungarian mountain ridge in Sohl County . Maderspach was the author of many publications that appeared in the Wochenblatt für Land- und Forstwirthschaft and in the Oesterreichische Zeitschrift für Berg- und Hüttenwesen . His most important work is a list of areas with deposits of iron ore.
