The mountain Loenpo Gang (also known as Big White Peak for "big white peak") is located in a mountain range in the central Himalayas southeast of the Langtang Khola river valley on the border between the Nepalese administrative zone Bagmati and the autonomous region of Tibet (China) .

The 6979  m high mountain is located in the far east of the Langtang National Park . The eight-thousander Shishapangma is 17 km north of the Loenpo Gang. The slightly lower Dorje Lhakpa ( 6966  m ) rises 3.15 km to the southwest. 2.85 km northwest is the Gurkarpo Ri ( 6889  m ). The Nyanang Phu Glacier flows in a south-easterly direction along the northern flank of the Loenpo Gang .

During an attempted ascent by a British expedition in 1957, 3 people were killed in an avalanche. The first ascent was made in 1962 from the south face over the east ridge.
