Loranne Smans (born October 30, 1997 ) is a Belgian snowboarder . She starts in the disciplines halfpipe , slopestyle and big air .

Career

Smans has been participating in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour and FIS competitions since 2011 . At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2012 in Sierra Nevada she took 25th place in slopestyle and 24th place in the halfpipe and at the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2013 in Erzurum the 16th place in the halfpipe and sixth place in slopestyle. She made her World Cup debut in March 2013 in Špindlerův Mlýn , which she finished on the 38th place in slopestyle. At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2014 in Chiesa in Valmalenco she achieved seventh place and at the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2015 in Yabuli the 12th place in slopestyle. In February 2014 she won slopestyle at the Audi Snowboard Series in Grindelwald . At the Snowboard World Championships 2015 at Kreischberg she came in 16th place in Slopestyle and seventh in Big Air. In March 2018 she won the Big Air competition at the European Cup in Götschen and reached third place in Québec Big Air got their first podium in the World Cup. The following year she became Belgian Big Air Champion and came 23rd in Slopestyle at the World Championships in Park City . In the 2019/20 season she came with four top ten placements, ninth place in Freestyle and Big Air World Cup and fifth place in Slopestyle World Cup.
