Lore Jackstädt

Lore Ilse Jackstädt (* as Lore Ilse Afflerbach on March 14, 1924 in Elberfeld ; † January 31, 2019 ), was a German widow of entrepreneurs and patroness in Wuppertal . Since 2005 she was chairwoman of the Dr. Werner Jackstädt Foundation .

Life

Lore Afflerbach was born as the first child of Paul Adolf Afflerbach (1898–1942) and Anna Friederike Emilie Dümmeler (1895–1968). On January 29, 1952, she married Werner Jackstädt (1925–2005) in Neviges , a manufacturer of self-adhesive papers and foils.

Due to illness, was Werner Jackstädt the Group Jackstädt in 2002 and sold it to the American Avery Dennison Corporation . The capital of around 130 million euros was transferred to the non-profit Dr. Werner Jackstädt Foundation brought in, which Werner Jackstädt initially headed himself. Since his death in March 2005, Lore Jackstädt continued her husband's duties as chairwoman of the Jackstädt Foundation.

honors and awards

Lore Jackstädt was awarded the Ring of Honor of the City of Wuppertal in 2007 . On June 10, 2010 she was granted honorary citizenship of the city of Wuppertal . In 2011 she was awarded the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany for her “outstanding personal commitment” . The Wuppertal Natural Science Association has awarded her honorary membership. She passed away on January 31, 2019.
