Lorenz Heitzer

Lorenz Heitzer ( pseudonym : Gottlieb Lehrreich ; born January 30, 1858 in Grebben near Heinsberg ; † May 29, 1919 in Essen-Altenessen ) was a German educator and writer .

Life

Lorenz Heitzer was the son of a conductor . He attended the elementary and community school in Heinsberg ; then he completed an apprenticeship at the teachers' college in Elten . Heitzer worked as a primary school teacher in Werden from 1879 , in Koblenz from 1881 and in Labbeck near Xanten from 1883 . From 1902 he was principal of a school in Altenessen . In addition to his professional activity, Lorenz Heitzer published numerous stories for children and young people that were influenced by a strong Catholic tendency .
