Lorenz Stolzenbach

Lorenz Stolzenbach (born December 3, 1934 in Erfurt ) is a German composer and organist .

Life

Stolzenbach studied composition and church music from 1952 to 1957 at the Leipzig University of Music . His composition teachers were Ottmar Gerster and Johannes Weyrauch , he received theory lessons from Paul Schenk and organ lessons from Wolfgang Schetelich . After that he worked as an organist in Berlin and was a master class for composition at Rudolf Wagner-Régeny at the Academy of Arts in Berlin. From 1961 to 1987 he worked as a lecturer at Edition Peters . From 1973 he taught liturgical organ playing , composition, composition and form theory in Leipzig. In 1992 he became a professor . His main focus is on church music.
