Aquaristics

The peaceful schooling fish was first introduced to Europe in 1938 and has been a popular aquarium fish ever since . He prefers soft, slightly acidic water. Loreto tetra should definitely be kept in shoals and find hiding places through aquatic plants as well as free swimming areas. The coloring of the animals becomes more intense if they are cared for in subdued light ( floating plants ) and a dark substrate. Socialization with fish that are too lively or even aggressive has a strong negative impact on the well-being of the shy animals.
