Lothar Laggies

Lothar Laggies (born March 8, 1927 in Berlin ) is a former German politician ( SPD ).

Lothar Laggies passed the Abitur in 1944 and had to do the Reich Labor Service . He was drafted into the air force by the Wehrmacht and was then taken prisoner of war .

After the Second World War , Laggies became a new teacher in 1948 and passed the 2nd state examination in 1952 . After several courses he became a teacher in 1961 and joined the SPD a year later. In the Berlin election in 1967 , he was elected to the District Assembly (BVV) of the Schöneberg district. In the subsequent election in 1971 , Laggies was initially elected to the Berlin House of Representatives, but resigned as early as June 1971 because BVV Schöneberg elected him to the district councilor for public education. After the legislative period in 1975 he resigned and was rector of the Friedrich Bergius Oberschule in Berlin-Friedenau until 1983 .
