action

The American Mark Jason is stranded in Southeast Asia and works there as a teacher. One day he finds millions of dollars worth of diamonds in his apartment. Jason quickly succumbs to the temptation not to hand over the precious stone treasure bunkered here by the previous tenant to the police, but to keep it for himself. When his Asian servant, who witnessed Jason's find, is found murdered, the teacher is suspected of having disposed of him. Now Jason has got the local police on his back and he has to flee. The American is accompanied by his Asian girlfriend, Nhan Lee Quon.

The local police inspector Gonsart is very eager to catch Jason and hunts him down without mercy. He is less driven by his sense of duty than an official; rather, he intends to keep the treasure for himself. Eventually Gonsart and his men Jason and Miss Quon, who are trying to escape abroad, circle around and catch the diamond thief. In order to at least save the life of his girlfriend Miss Quon, Jason, who suspects that Gonsart is an unscrupulous cop without mercy, offers the following deal: He is willing to give out the diamonds in exchange for the integrity of his girlfriend. But then a shot is fired and Nhan Lee is hit and dies in his arms.

Reviews

"Ready-made cheap adventure, banal and annoying in terms of plot and design."

- Films 1965-70, Cologne 1971, p. 194

“A confused, stupid and boring adventure film by - after other films of this quality level - director Jürgen Roland, who will soon no longer be renowned. To be rejected. "
