Lotte Faldborg Kiærskou (born June 23, 1975 in Frederikshavn ) is a former Danish handball player .
Career
Kiærskou started playing handball at Strandby Ellinge IF at the age of six. Lotte later moved to Frederikshavn fI , with whom she was Danish runner-up in 1997. In 2001 she joined Viborg HK . With Viborg, the backcourt player won the championship twice (2002 and 2004), once the cup (2003) and once the EHF Cup (2004). In 2005 she ended her career due to pregnancy. After the birth of her daughter, Kiærskou was an assistant coach at Randers HK from 2006 to 2008 , where she was occasionally on the field as a player. She later took over a youth team at Overlund GF, in which her daughter plays. From December 29, 2014 she worked as an assistant trainer at Viborg HK. In February 2015, Kiærskou was replaced by Heidi Astrup because she was unable to perform her duties after an operation.
Kiærskou played 111 international matches for the Danish women's handball team , in which they scored 414 goals. With Denmark, she won the Olympic gold medal in 2000 and 2004 . In addition, the right-hander was Vice-European Champion in 1998 .
Lotte Kiærskou had a registered partnership with handball player Rikke Skov until October 2011 .
