Lotte Schädle

Lotte Schädle (born October 23, 1926 in Füssen ) is a German opera, operetta, lied and concert singer ( soprano ).

Life

Lotte Schädle won several singing competitions, where her voice was discovered. She then studied singing at the Munich Music Academy with Mara Pringsheim . In 1954 she made her debut at the Bavarian State Opera as Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail . There she was celebrated by the audience in numerous roles in the field of soubrette .

In 1957 Lotte Schädle was hired as a lyric and coloratura soprano at the Nuremberg Opera House . Here she took part in the world premiere of the opera Der Glücksfischer by Mark Lothar in 1962 . In the same year she returned to the Munich Opera. There she sang all the major roles in her field. Her brilliant roles were Gilda in Rigoletto , Najade in Ariadne auf Naxos , Marie in Der Waffenschmied , Isotta in Die Schweigsame Frau etc. 1957-58 and again in 1967 the soprano appeared at the Bayreuth Festival as one of the flower girls in Parsifal . In 1965 she sang the role of Blonde at the Edinburgh Festival .

Lotte Schädle, who was appointed Bavarian Chamber Singer in 1966 , was one of the much-acclaimed audience favorites of the Munich Opera House , alongside Erika Köth , Sári Barabás , Hertha Töpper and Rosl Schwaiger , to name just a few. The singer said goodbye to the opera stage in 1980 at the Bavarian State Opera in the oratorio Judas Maccabäus composed by Georg Friedrich Händel .

The soprano who also enjoyed singing operettas, e.g. B. Mirabella or Saffi in Der Zigeunerbaron , has made guest appearances on the major stages in German-speaking countries (Vienna, Salzburg, Berlin, Zurich etc.) and beyond. Furthermore, in the concert hall she was above all a highly esteemed Bach interpreter. Concert tours have taken her to Austria, Italy, Switzerland and all major German cities.
