Lotti Stokar (* 1955 ; resident in Zollikon , Küsnacht and Schaffhausen ) is a Swiss politician ( Greens ).

Life

Lotti Stokar graduated from the University of Zurich in 1979 with a degree in law . After a stay abroad in Minneapolis , she was admitted to the bar in the Canton of Zurich in 1984 . From 1983 to 1989 she worked in a law firm in Zurich and Au and then until 1992 as a legal assistant in the area of ​​spatial planning at Metron AG in Brugg . After moving from Zumikon to the canton of Basel-Landschaft , she opened a law practice in Oberwil . Since 2000 she has also been working as a legal advisor at Stokar und Partner AG in Basel. From 2004 to 2005 she did a postgraduate course in mediation in business, environment and administration at the Aargau University of Applied Sciences and has since worked as a mediator with a focus on conflict management.

Lotti Stokar was active in the kindergarten commission and the municipality commission of Oberwil. In 1997 she was elected to the local council (executive) of Oberwil for the Neue Liste Oberwil NLO , where she was responsible for the schools and transport departments until 2008. In 2008 she was elected mayor of Oberwil and in 2012 she was confirmed in office in a silent election. Lotti Stokar did not run in the 2016 municipal elections.

After the resignation of Madeleine Göschke-Chiquet, Lotti Stokar moved up in 2010 for the Greens in the district administrator of the canton of Basel-Landschaft . From 2010 to 2011 she was a member of the National Economic and Health Commission, from 2011 to 2015 a member of the Finance Commission and from 2012 to 2015 a member of the Petitions Commission. Since 2015 she has been a member of the building and planning committee and a member of the business audit committee, which she chairs as vice-president.
