Loučná (German Wieselstein ) is the highest mountain in the Eastern Ore Mountains .
Location and surroundings
The Loučná in the Czech Republic rises directly on the southern steep drop of the Ore Mountains to the North Bohemian Basin 700 m below . To the south at the foot of the mountains lie the towns of Meziboří ( Schönbach ) and Horní Litvínov ( Oberleutensdorf ). On the Erzgebirgskamm located east the small village Dlouhá Louka ( Long Meadow ), in the southeast Loučná ( charge ), west of the city Klíny ( Göhren ) and in the north of the dam Fláje ( Fleyh ).
The summit area is located in a 1980 hectare game reserve that extends as far as Klíny and the Fláje dam and is only accessible to the public in July and August (via individual access gates). Wapiti deer, among other things, were bred on the site in 1848 . To the west below the summit is the Jiřík forester's lodge (Georgshöhe) , from which a forest road leads to the Lichtenwald hunting lodge .
Paths to the summit
- A blue marked hiking route leads from Litvínov and Meziboří over the shoulder of the mountain. A marked junction leads to the highest possible point on the fence of the game reserve.
- Another starting point, also marked in blue , is Dlouhá Louka. The ascent is also possible with cross-country skis in winter.
