Louis-François Néel de Christot

Louis-François Néel de Christot (* 1698 in Rouen ; † September 8, 1775 in Paris ) was a French Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Sées .

Life

From 1719 he found himself as an advisory clergyman of the Parlement of Normandy , as pastor of Silly in 1728 and in 1735 as dean of the cathedral chapter of Bayeux .

He was appointed Bishop of Séez on May 5, 1740. The episcopal ordination donated him on December 18 of the same year the Archbishop of Rouen Nicolas-Charles de Saulx-Tavannes ; Co- consecrators were Paul d'Albert de Luynes , Bishop of Bayeux , and Pierre-Jules-César de Rochechouard-Montigny , Bishop of Évreux .

His skills are described as being in the field of law rather than theology .

He died at the age of 77 in St-Victor in Paris and was buried in the local church.
