Louis Portella Mbuyu (born July 28, 1942 in Pointe-Noire , Republic of the Congo ) is a Congolese clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Kinkala .

Life

Louis Portella received on 31 December 1967, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On October 16, 2001, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Kinkala. The Pope personally donated him episcopal ordination on January 6, 2002 ; Co-consecrators were the Archbishops of the Curia Leonardo Sandri , substitute for the General Affairs Section of the Vatican State Secretariat , and Robert Sarah , Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on March 5, 2020.
