Louis Purmann

Louis Emil Constantin August Purmann (born February 17, 1812 in Bunzlau , † April 1, 1894 in Dresden ) was a German lawyer and politician . He was a member of the Second Chamber of the Prussian State Parliament (1859–1861).

biography

Purmann was born as the son of a court assistant and later a district judicial councilor and went to high school in Görlitz before he went to Halle to study law in 1831 . There he became a member of the old fraternity Germania Halle in 1831 . In 1834 he moved to Berlin , where he passed his first legal exam at the Berlin Court of Appeal . From April 1834 he was an auscultator at the Glogau Regional Court , but at his own request he was transferred to the City Court in his hometown. Due to his membership in the fraternity, he was interrogated on August 6, 1934 in Breslau by order of the examining magistrate in Halle , where he admitted his membership. After protracted proceedings, he was born on May 7, 1836 for membership in the Halle fraternity to Amtssuspendierung , "employment disability" and six years imprisonment convicted. By pardon on December 21, 1836, the sentence was reduced to six months' imprisonment and three years of "incapacity for employment", so that in 1837 he was able to finish his legal training with the exams. In 1842 he was appointed senior judge at the Higher Regional Court in Breslau , in 1843 assessor at the city court in Ratibor and in 1848 district judge in Ratibor. In 1854 he was transferred to Kreuzburg , where he became director of the local district court. From 1859 to 1861 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Prussian Landtag for constituency 5 (Opole). In 1865 he retired.
