Louis Walther

Louis Walther (born November 18, 1838 in Torgau , † September 19, 1891 in Hanover ) was a German judge and deputy in the Kingdom of Prussia.

Life

Walther studied law at the Friedrichs-Universität Halle and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . In 1858 he became active in the Corps Teutonia Halle (II) and in the Corps Teutonia Bonn. In the Prussian Army he took part in the German War and the Franco-German War , most recently as a captain . He was a regional judge at the Torgau regional court and from the mid-1880s at the Hanover regional court . As a Catholic, he sat in the Prussian House of Representatives from 1879 to August 22, 1884 and from 1886 to his death for the constituency of Merseburg 1 (Liebenwerda, Torgau) . He belonged to the faction of the Free Conservative Party . He died at the age of 52.
