Louis Wintermeyer

Louis Wintermeyer (born September 7, 1859 in Wiesbaden , † September 18, 1901 in Brunnen , Switzerland) was a German farmer and politician .

Wintermeyer was born as the son of the farmer H. Wintermeyer. He attended first from 1869 to 1875 the higher middle school of his native town and later from 1881 to 1882 the agricultural academy. Finally, in 1887, he took over his father's farm.

In the same year his political career began with his election to the city council. From 1897 to 1901 he was a member of the Free People's Party in the Prussian House of Representatives and the Reichstag .

Three years after his death, his hometown honored him by naming a street.
