Eduard Arnold Bartling (born June 19, 1845 in Lenhausen ; † August 3, 1927 in Wiesbaden ) was a German entrepreneur and politician.

Bartling attended a building trade school and a polytechnic school after high school and high school. He worked in machine factories, in civil engineering. As an entrepreneur and engineer, he was involved in building railways, canals and ports, as well as building fortresses. He invented large excavators for mining brown coal. Bartling was the owner of mines, a lime pit near Limburg , a machine repair shop, a wood pulp and paper factory and steam brick factories. At the same time he worked as a newspaper publisher in Berlin.

In the 1890s Bartling moved to Wiesbaden and built a representative villa. There he also published the "Wiesbadener Generalanzeiger".

Politically, Bartling belonged to the national liberal party and supported Otto von Bismarck's policies . He was chairman of the Wiesbaden committee for the construction of a Bismarck tower on the Bierstadter Höhe. In Wiesbaden he was an unpaid city councilor from 1891 to 1900. He had been a member of the Reichstag since 1903. From 1904 until 1918 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , in which he represented the constituency Wiesbaden 9 (Wiesbaden - Untertaunuskreis . In the Reichstag election of 1907 Bartling was defeated by the Social Democratic candidate Gustav Lehmann supported by the center . After the Reichstag election of 1912 Bartling moved again in the Reichstag.

For his services he was appointed to the secret council of commerce. Bartling had a monumental tomb erected on the north cemetery in Wiesbaden while he was still alive .
