Loz Tinitoz is a German rock and punk rock band that was founded in 2006 in Cuxhaven .

history

Loz Tinitoz was formed on October 9, 2006 as a five-piece band. The idea for the band name came from the singer Timo Januschewski, who came up with the Spanish-sounding name that alludes to " tinnitus " while on vacation in Spain . At the beginning of their career, the band played simple punk rock, as can be heard on the first demo, The Queen of My Dreams . Fast drums, simple chords and brute roaring were their trademarks when they were founded.

After a bassist and later a guitarist left, Januschewski took over the bass in addition to the vocals. In this new formation of three, the band played a demo called Frei und wild in 2008 , which did not differ much in style from the first demo.

On November 2, 2009, their demo CD Toxine was distributed. The Hamburg record company "T-Recs Music" discovered the band via Myspace and offered the band to produce a demo. This CD was recorded in Cuxhaven with Didi Schneider (formerly the bassist of the NDW band "CatsTV").

After the bankruptcy of her label at the time, Loz Tinitoz switched to the Cuxhaven-based music label "ES&L Entertainment" in 2010. In March 2011 the second album called Herzsucht was released. The album was created with Markus Geiger in Hamburg, who worked with Das Pack , among others . Heart addiction was more mature and mature than Loz Tinitoz's previous albums. This is due to the inclusion of the new guitarist Christian Böger and the collaboration with Markus Geiger.

The album In Search of Aletheia was released on February 15, 2013 in stores. The first video for the new album was titled New York , which was the band's first song to make it onto some mainstream radio stations. You are like me was selected as the second video output .

In February 2014 the band announced a new album entitled Majesty , which was released on July 24, 2015. Christian Böger left the band for personal reasons with the work on the album Majestät , and Olly Lagemann was introduced as the new lead guitarist for live performances in May 2015. In addition to his new role within the band, Lagemann is also head of the label "ES&L Entertainment / KDV Musikverlag", on which Loz Tinitoz publish their works. The song Ein Stück vom Himmel was presented as the first single in 2015, and the music video Magga was released in October 2015 .

On June 22nd, 2018 they released their album "Kamikazekatze".

style

Her style includes several styles of music , including punk, alternative and hard rock elements. Her texts are mostly about everyday issues, such as everyday friendships and hostilities, love and freedom. While Loz Tinitoz used to be known for rather dark lyrics, the newer songs of the band are more positive, relaxed and cheeky.

Loz Tinitoz often use power chords and quarter notes. Guitarist Januschewski plays simple basic notes, while lead guitarist Lagemann contributes melodies and “licks”. Drummer's drumming "Skinny G Moe" has gradually adapted from fast punk drumming to slightly rockier beats and bars. The singing style of Loz Tinitoz singer Timo Januschewski is described as extremely unique and "idiosyncratic" and is a trademark of the band.

The band's newer releases range between punk rock, hard rock and indie rock.

Band members

Timo Januschewski (born September 3, 1985 in Cuxhaven ) is a singer, songwriter and ex-bassist of the band. In the summer of 2012 he took on the role of rhythm guitarist in exchange with Norman Gerber. He grew up in Cuxhaven as one of two sons of a gas and water installer and a housewife. After he first completed the secondary school diploma at a Cuxhaven school, he attended the commercial college and then the commercial high school, which he graduated from high school in 2006. He then did his nine-month military service in the Liliencron barracks in Kellinghusen ( Schleswig-Holstein ) and trained as a real estate agent . In addition to music, he continues to work full-time in the real estate industry.

He also published his first novel "Hell in the Heart" in 2016 and his second in 2018 with the name "Satan's New Friend".

Timo Utermöhle (born March 7, 1988 in Hildesheim ), called "Skinny G Moe", is the band's drummer. He was born in Hildesheim, Lower Saxony, and attended elementary school there. After that, his family moved to the Cuxhaven district, where he still lives today. Moe attended secondary school and then the commercial schools in Bremerhaven . He then did his alternative military service in a children's facility and later did commercial training.

Norman Gerber (born May 18, 1983 in Dortmund ) is the band's bass player. However, he still played the rhythm guitar until mid-2012.
