Loznac ( Cyrillic : Лознац) is a village in eastern Serbia . The name of the village is derived from the Serbian word Loza ( called grapevine in German ).

Geography and population

The village is located in the Opština Aleksinac in Nišavski okrug in the east of the country at 276 meters above sea level. Loznac had 138 inhabitants at the 2011 census, compared to 176 in 2002. According to the last three population statistics, the number of inhabitants continues to fall.

100% Serbian Orthodox Serbs make up the population of Loznac . The place consists of 61 households. Loznac is located southwest of the municipality capital Aleksinac .

The place is surrounded by forests and mountains and is not far from the neighboring villages Radevce , Krušje and Kamenica .
