Luca Desiata (* 1971 in Isernia ) is an Italian manager. Since 2016 he has been the CEO of the Italian nuclear waste disposal company, SOGIN.

Life

Desiata earned a degree with honors in mechanical engineering from the University of Pisa in 1995 , a diploma from the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa and an MBA from Insead Business School in 1999 . Desiata then worked for the international finance corporation , Bain , Accenture , Procter & Gamble and from 2006 to 2016 for Enel .

As a lecturer for corporate art at the private university LUISS in Rome, Desiata curated the exhibition for corporate art in the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna in Rome in 2015 and the Corporate Art Awards 2016. He is the founder of pptArt, the first crowdsourcing platform for art . Together with Anatoly Karpov and Rocco Sabelli, formerly CEO of Alitalia , he wrote a book on chess and corporate strategies (“Scacchi e strategie aziendali”).

Under the pseudonym Lucas Cupidus he founded the journals Hebdomada Aenigmatum ( Latin crossword puzzles ) and Onomata Kechiasmena (crossword puzzles in ancient Greek).

Honors

In 2006 Desiata became a Knight of the Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity .
