Lucas Foresti
Lucas Foresti (born May 12, 1992 in Brasília ) is a Brazilian automobile racing driver . He competed in Formula Renault 3.5 in 2012 and 2013 .
Career
After Foresti began his motorsport career in junior motocross , he switched to karting in 2006 , where he was active until 2008. Moreover Foresti 2008 two races in the American gave Formula BMW debut in single-seater racing and finished the season in 13th place overall. In the following season he competed in the South American Formula 3 for Cesario Fórmula and finished third in the championship with a win.
In 2010 Foresti started in the New Zealand Toyota Racing Series and finished eighth overall with a win. Foresti then switched to the British Formula 3 championship . First he had signed a contract with Hitech Racing for the 2010 season, but before the first race of the season he switched to Carlin , who fielded six racing cars in the season. In Silverstone he achieved his first podium finish in the British Formula 3 Championship in third place. At the end of the season he finished 13th overall. He also received a contract with Carlin for the first season of the GP3 series , in which he was 19th overall with a second place as the best result. He started in the British Formula 3 championship when there were overlapping dates. In addition, he returned for seven races in the South American Formula 3 championship. He won three races. In 2011 Foresti completed his second season in the British Formula 3 championship for Fortec Motorsport . With three wins, he improved to seventh championship rank.
After 2011 won Foresti in 2012 for the second time in the Autódromo José Carlos Pace discharged F3 Brazil Open . He then returned to Europe, where he took part in the Formula Renault 3.5 for DAMS in 2012 . While his teammate Arthur Pic finished eighth with a win, Foresti reached 23rd place overall with a seventh place as the best result. In 2013 Foresti switched to SMP Racing by Comtec within the Formula Renault 3.5 . Foresti remained without points and finished the season in 26th place overall. His teammate Daniil Mowe scored twelve points.
