The Lucas Oil 150 is a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series car race that takes place annually at Phoenix International Raceway in Avondale , Arizona . The first event in 1995, when Mike Skinner won, had 124 rounds to be completed. The race was sponsored by General Motors and was called GM Goodwrench / Delco Battery 200 , the number in the race name in this case did not represent the number of miles to be covered, as is so often the case, but the number of kilometers that had to be covered. Between 1996 and 1998, 186 laps had to be covered, which corresponds to around 300 kilometers. Since the race in the 1999 season, the distance has been 150 miles (241.4 km), which is 150 laps. General Motors remained the main sponsor of the race until the 1999 season. From the 2000 season it was the Chevrolet car brand belonging to the General Motors group that took the place of the main sponsor. In 2006 and 2007 the race was named Casino Arizona 150 before being renamed Lucas Oil 150 for the 2008 season . In 2001 and 2002 there was a green-white checkered finish .
